Our virtual Team-Summer-Event of the Practice Group Core Insurance Team-Summer-Event

Even in the second Pandemic Summer, there was no thought of an ordinary Summer Event. But we didn’t want to let that stop us this year. Despite a few hurdles, we managed to put together some exciting and varied events as part of the Core Insurance Practice Group.

An event with distance

Usually, our events are a time when we can all come together and celebrate successes and cohesion. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, this wasn’t quite possible. Nevertheless, this summer we at least didn’t want to miss out on a small, virtual celebration. And so it came to pass that last month, on May 20 and 27, the first big virtual team summer event of the Core Insurance Practice Group was held – by far but definitely with the same fun factor as a face-to-face event.

Spoilt for choice

The special thing about it: At the event, colleagues had the opportunity to choose from a wide range of exciting events, all of which could be implemented quite well virtually in their own way. Among other things, there were numerous taste highlights, whether in the form of gin and wine tastings or a cooking event. Those who wanted a little more action could opt for virtual participation in a mystery dinner or in the online escape room. The gamer friends among us met in a virtual board game arena and spent the evening there playing classic board games.

Refreshing tastings, delicious cooking classes and action-packed games

A total of seven possible events were available to choose from.
Logical, creative, strategic – our colleagues mastered the virtual online escape game ‘Beat the Hacker’ with a variety of tasks. They transferred the principle of the Escape Room to the digital world and worked together on strategic tasks.
The board game arena was similarly action-packed, where colleagues met for an evening of board games and a meal together in front of the camera.
Tasteful highlights were served in the cooking event. Here, under supervision, delicious and healthy dishes were prepared in front of the camera. If that wasn’t exciting enough for you, you could take part in the crime dinner. Here, real actors portrayed a criminal case in front of the camera and together they searched for the murderer.
On the other hand, murderously good cocktails were mixed at the cocktail course. Similar to the cooking event, the aim here was to conjure up the best drinks for the post-Corona era and the roof terrace time under professional guidance. For the quiet connoisseurs there were in this respect instructive and tasty distillate tastings – either with high-proof gin or finest wine.

Exuberant mood and joy about the common time

The time spent together, albeit virtually, was important for all of us. During the pandemic, contacts in the office – or after work – often fell by the wayside. So we were able, at least in one way or another, to create a little more ‘normality’ again. The different formats also meant that everyone could take part in the event that appealed to them personally the most. All rounds were well filled and the atmosphere was also virtually top!

We are looking forward to hopefully celebrating our Summer Event together again next year!

Thanks for the great evenings! 🙂
