On 8th and 9th of March 2017, this year’s insurance conference took place in Cologne. In exciting practical examples, various solution strategies in times of antiquated policy management systems were presented and ways of flexible and efficient product modeling were discussed.
Amongst others, Rolf Paulsen from AOK Systems GmbH presented together with Jan Ortmann of Faktor Zehn how the interplay of product and contract is being rethought with Faktor-IPS, and thus speed, flexibility and efficiency can be achieved. This successful interaction is already in development at AOK Systems since 2009 and has been implemented so far at 14 statutory health insurance companies. In a further lecture, VKB presented its new policy system for residential buildings, which went live within a year and is based on Faktor-IPM. Signal Iduna also showed how they have developed together with Faktor Zehn a completely new car policy system based on Faktor-IPS. After the start of the project in 2013, the second major go-live of the system and the final migration are planned for autumn this year.
